A Better Kind of Day

[Куплет 1] I left my keys beside the kitchen door Took one small bag and nothing more The bus rolled past the market stalls Blue water waiting beyond the walls [Предприпев] No schedule calling my name No little box to keep me the same With salt on my skin and sand in my shoes I got nothing left to lose [Припев] We are free, free, free today Let the tide carry the worry away Under the palms where the warm winds play We found a better kind of day We are free, free, free tonight Barefoot hearts in the fading light If the road bends, we’ll follow its way We found a better kind of day [Куплет 2] A coconut falls by the old boardwalk We trade our plans for a slower walk Your blue shirt dries on a wooden rail While a little boat leans into the sail [Предприпев] No clock cutting through the air Just your hand and the breeze in your hair With sun on our backs and room to roam Everywhere feels like home [Припев] We are free, free, free today Let the tide carry the worry away Under the palms where the warm winds play We found a better kind of day We are free, free, free tonight Barefoot hearts in the fading light If the road bends, we’ll follow its way We found a better kind of day [Бридж] Maybe all we ever needed Was a little less, a little unhurried One clear sky, one open door And a reason to want no more [Припев] We are free, free, free today Let the tide carry the worry away Under the palms where the warm winds play We found a better kind of day We are free, free, free tonight Barefoot hearts in the fading light If the road bends, we’ll follow its way We found a better kind of day [Аутро] Free today, with the ocean wide Free tonight, with you by my side No looking back, no need to explain We’ll take the sunshine down the lane
