Lyrics
[Verse 1] I came in heavy But i left so light Had a storm in my hands Now i’m praising tonight Mama said, “keep singing” When the road runs dry I found mercy waiting Right in my eyes [Pre-Chorus] Ooh, the room got warmer Ooh, when i called your name Hands went up like sunrise Nothing stayed the same [Chorus] Rise up, rejoice He made a way Rise up, rejoice And dance today (He made a way) Rise up, rejoice My heart says, “amen” Rise up, rejoice And sing again [Verse 2] Shoes on the floor now I’m spinning around All that shame fell off me When you touched the ground Neighbors heard the laughter Coming through the door I was lost in the dark Now i’m lost in more [Pre-Chorus] Ooh, the room got warmer Ooh, when i called your name Hands went up like sunrise Nothing stayed the same [Chorus] Rise up, rejoice He made a way Rise up, rejoice And dance today (He made a way) Rise up, rejoice My heart says, “amen” Rise up, rejoice And sing again [Bridge] Let the choir answer Let the tears turn gold Every broken promise Got a story told I was barely breathing Now i’m full of song What was meant to bury me Made me strong [Final chorus] Rise up, rejoice He made a way Rise up, rejoice And dance today (He made a way) Rise up, rejoice My heart says, “amen” Rise up, rejoice And sing again Rise up, rejoice We rise again (We rise again) Rise up, rejoice Forever, amen
