Lyrics
[Verse 1] You walked in wearing midnight blue A quiet spark i felt break through No need to speak, i knew the sign Your pulse was moving close to mine [Pre-Chorus] I have been careful, i have been proud But your gravity pulls me out One step closer, the room turns gold I choose the fire, i let it unfold [Chorus] Take me higher, higher than before Open every locked-up door If this is falling, let me fall into you Make it brighter, make it something true No looking back at what we knew I choose the fire, i choose you [Verse 2] Your name still lingers on my skin A wild new chapter pulling me in I crossed the line i drew alone Found a stronger heart beneath my own [Pre-Chorus] I have been waiting, i have been still Now every breath becomes a will One step closer, the fear lets go I hear my future in the undertow [Chorus] Take me higher, higher than before Open every locked-up door If this is falling, let me fall into you Make it brighter, make it something true No looking back at what we knew I choose the fire, i choose you [Bridge] Let the old names fade away Let the hard truth have its say I am not the one who came undone I am the rising after the sun [Breakdown] Higher, higher I can feel the change Closer, closer Nothing stays the same [Final chorus] Take me higher, higher than before Open every locked-up door If this is falling, let me fall into you Make it brighter, make it something true No looking back at what we knew I choose the fire, i choose you [Outro] I choose the fire I choose you
